Multi-Level Water Feature: Design and build a spectacular water feature with multiple levels (think cascading waterfalls!).

Multi-Level Pond Construction: Create a tiered pond system from scratch, adding depth and dimension to your landscape.

The Art of Formless Concrete: Master techniques for shaping concrete without traditional forms – unleash your creativity!
- Foam Core Boulder Creation: Learn technique of boulder creation with scratch coat and carve coat, and subsequently carving into boulders.

Arch Form Bridge: Build an arched bridge by hand (yes, just like that iconic stone arch bridge in our illustrations!) to span your water feature.

Artistic Concrete Coloring: Play with colors and stains to give your concrete creation personality and flair.

Water Wheel Integration: Top it all off by installing a working water wheel into the feature for that wow factor.
- GFRC Boulders/Panels: Learn basics of GFRC boulder creation and panels.
If you can picture it, you can build it – and we’ll show you how! From flowing water to solid stone-like structures, you’ll gain skills to create a real showpiece.

2 Hours Classroom Instruction: We’ll start with a relaxed classroom session to cover the basics, design plans, and safety tips.

3 Days of Hands-On Practice: Roll up your sleeves! For three full days, you and your team will actively construct the multi-level pond, water feature, and arch bridge on-site. (By Day 3, you’ll be saying “I can’t believe we built this!”)

Lunch Included Each Day: Don’t worry about meals – we’ve got you covered with lunch provided all three days. 🍽️ Concrete crafting is hungry work, and we’ll keep you fueled.

📍 Location: The workshop takes place at The Hydrangea Ranch in Tillamook, Oregon – one of Oregon’s top flower farms and a truly scenic spot on the coast. You’ll be working outdoors surrounded by fields of blooming hydrangeas and fresh ocean air.

🗓️ Dates: May 5–7 (Wednesday through Friday). Three days of concrete fun in the springtime!

🏕️ Free On-Site Camping: Want the full experience? Free camping is available right at The Hydrangea Ranch for all workshop attendees. Pitch a tent under the stars (or bring your RV) and wake up each morning to the sound of birds and a view of gorgeous flower fields. It’s the ultimate Oregon coast getaway – on us!
Don’t feel like camping? No worries – Tillamook has plenty of nearby hotels and B&Bs if you prefer a comfy bed. But if you do camp, you’ll be just steps away from the action (and the campfire stories with fellow concrete enthusiasts in the evening!). - The weather can be unpredictable on the Oregon Coast in early May. If the weather is particularly fowl at this time we may decide to delay for a week, if you’re flying, please pay a bit more for insurance allowing you to change the date of your flight. This is worst case scenario, but smart to have a back up plan.
