Flagstone Concrete Overlay Driveway

This concrete overlay was carved to replicate flagstone. It covered an ugly damaged driveway.

On the scenic Oregon Coast, a homeowner was dissatisfied with the appearance of their current driveway, which was made from aged exposed aggregate – a material that had lost its charm over time. In response to this, OCF Decorative Concrete, a highly respected contractor, suggested a more innovative approach – a concrete overlay instead of the traditional method of tearing out and replacing the entire surface. This solution not only offers an excellent level of durability but also serves as a cost-effective alternative. In this specific instance, the concrete overlay was meticulously hand-sculpted, imitating the organic nature of a flagstone pattern. To further enhance its aesthetic appeal, each ‘stone’ was individually tinted using environmentally friendly, water-based stains. This artful approach to driveway renovation resulted in a unique and attractive surface, proving once again the potential of concrete overlays.
